The second edition of the Ncell Nepal Literature Festival 2012 was organized by The Bookworm Trust in partnership with the Nepal Academy.

The Festival held from September 20 to 23 in the premises of the Nepal Academy at Kamaladi, Kathmandu. The Festival brought together over ninety eminent writers from Nepal and abroad. The Festival had panel discussions, poetry recitals, book launches and signings, author meets, and much more. Lovers of literature got a chance to rub their shoulders with the national and international literary stars, engage in racy dialogues, grab a book and get it signed by their favorite writers.

The inaugural edition of the Festival was well-received by the audience and writers with an attendance of over 5,000 strong audiences. International writers like Mark Tully, Indra Bahadur Rai and Ira Trivedi, in addition to over 60 eminent Nepali writers including Sarubhakta, Sharada Sharma, Abhi Subedi, Dhruba Chandra Gautam and Jagadish Ghimire had graced the inaugural edition that spread over 25 sessions. This year’s program promises to be bigger and better with an expected 10,000 strong audience, more than 90 writers participating in over 40 parallel sessions for 4 days.Replete with sessions that include topics as wide-ranging as literature, art, music, sociology and economics, the Festival will help present Nepal as a hub of literary and intellectual exchange, thereby drawing the attention of people around the world to Nepal.
